When it was launched it was an instant hit with all automotive critics, offering the perfect balance of power and grip for maximum fun and usability on the roads of Britain.

Many used Caterhams masquerade as Supersports, but most are converted race cars. There are a few clues that give away a true Supersport. First, they come with their own bespoke dashboard layout, which sees the standard long line of switches stacked into two rows of four in the centre of the dash. They then all had a single central change up light between the speedometer and the rev counter, which illuminates when you reach 7200 rpm.

They then all had Suede Momo Steering wheels, carbon vinyl tunnel tops and carbon vinyl boot covers.

This Supersport is as close to brand new as you could ever find. It has had just one owner from new who has managed just 1800 miles.

It was originally ordered unpainted, which although looks wonderful, is tough to look after and keep looking at its best. It has therefore just had a fresh coat of Porsche Riviera Blue paint and now looks spectacular.

This really is one of the very best models every created through Caterham’s history. But the critics will tell you this far better than I ever could, so if you are interested in this car, follow the link to see what the press had to say.
